As an Middle School Spanish Teacher at La Escuelita, you will be the first point of contact for

many families, presenting a welcoming environment and demonstrating a proactive, organized

JOB DUTIES

● Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes language learning,

● Teach Spanish grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and

speaking skills, ensuring students develop a well-rounded proficiency in the language.

● Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, and

● Plan and organize cultural activities, projects, and events that expose students to the

richness and diversity of Spanish-speaking countries and communities.

● Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate Spanish language instruction with

● Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff to provide updates on

student progress, address concerns, and foster a strong home-school partnership.

● Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assignments, and prepare

progress reports as required.

● Stay updated with current teaching methodologies, educational trends, and resources

related to language instruction, and continually seek professional development

opportunities.


QUALIFICATIONS

● Bilingual Spanish/English required.

● Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, including families, teachers, school

districts, and other companies as applicable.

● Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is preferred; knowledge of Google

Classroom is preferred.

As the first point of contact for many families, the Assistant Director must present a welcoming

responsible for overseeing all aspects of Center operations while also an integral part of our

The Assistant Director will help the Director/Founder with the day-to-day operations of La

Escuelita, while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the

educational development, safety, and welfare of the students and staff.


JOB DUTIES

• Educate parents, teachers, and students on the value of our programs and make the value come

to life for the children in La Escuelita.

• Assist the Director/Founder in leading and scheduling staff, supporting families, and achieving

enrollment and operational objectives.

• Partner with parents and staff with a shared desire to provide the best education and mentorship

for their children.

• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, consulting contracts, and other partners.

• Serve in various roles throughout the Center as needed, including instructor, driver, and

administrator.

• First point of contact for clients/prospective clients, and employees for all questions regarding

Learnfully operations. Including, but not limited to: scheduling, accounts, and


billing procedures.

• Answer phones & emails to provide information about programs. Develop and maintain

positive, collaborative relationships with community members, learners, families, and

colleagues.

• Organize and promote marketing events for the Center.

• Work with clients to find unique solutions for learning support.

• Model and uphold Center culture and expectations.

• Oversee and maintain the appearance of the Center.

• Oversee and maintain technology in the Center.

• Oversee, maintain and organize all supplies for the Center.

• Submit employee time cards.

• Communicate with team members and supervisors both remote and onsite.

• Seek client feedback, and support clients with questions/issues as they arise.

• Present ideas and suggestions for improving processes as often as possible. When presenting a

problem or offering constructive criticism, also offer an alternative solution.

• Submit weekly and monthly written and verbal reports as requested.

• When directed, attend meetings with the Executive team and stakeholders.

• Manage social media accounts and marketing.

• Special projects could include event planning/coordination, external meetings, travel planning

and community events.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required

Position: Temporary Summer Camp Spanish Teacher

Reports To: Director

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Schedule: Part-time, 15 hours/week, Tuesday-Thursday

Pay Range: $18-20 per hour



SUMMARY

At La Escuelita, we are more than a tutor, we’re a mentor. Our staff are enthusiastic and

passion for excellence, mentorship, and operating a high-quality tutoring center.

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic bilingual teacher to join our team at La Escuelita

Summer Camp. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, capable of

creating engaging and interactive lessons that promote language acquisition and foster a love for

learning. As a bilingual teacher, you will be responsible for leading a diverse range of activities

designed to enhance language skills, encourage critical thinking, and promote self-growth among

students.

JOB DUTIES

● Develop and implement lesson plans and activities that align with the camp's curriculum

and objectives, incorporating language arts, writing, science, social studies, math,

mindfulness, physical activity, and presentations/debate.

● Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs and

interests of students, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies and resources.

● Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to

participate and express themselves in Spanish.

● Implement a Spanish-only policy in the classroom, encouraging students to communicate

and engage exclusively in Spanish during class activities and interactions with teachers.

● Integrate language learning strategies, such as phonics, reading, vocabulary building, and

oral practice, into daily lessons to enhance language acquisition.

● Provide individualized attention and support during self-growth time, guiding students in

exploring topics of interest and arranging meetings with experts as needed.


● Assess students' progress and language proficiency through informal observations, class

participation, and periodic assessments.

● Uphold camp policies and procedures regarding safety, behavior management, and child

protection at all times.



QUALIFICATIONS

● Bilingual Spanish/English required.

● Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is preferred; knowledge of Google

Classroom is preferred.

● A desire to work in a diverse and inclusive environment.

● Caring, compassionate approach to working with children, families, and colleagues.

● Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.

● Must be punctual, have a good attendance record, and have reliable means of

transportation to work.

● Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students

● Creativity and enthusiasm for designing engaging and interactive learning experiences


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

● Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

● Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred.

● Valid teaching certification or credentials.
